This is the vessel I’ve built for my journey through photography - from obsessing and experimenting with different gear to going back to film photography. From losing and finding inspiration - to stumbling upon and living through stories. From learning to repair my equipment to meeting interesting people. All the while trying new genres and formats, but always just taking photographs.

How it started

More than 10 years ago, I started my journey into photography and I ran around and shot at everything I could for a year. I always felt like I lacked something, a goal, a target to shoot my proverbial arrows at.

Until I found a particular lens. I don’t remember which one. I do recall I searched and searched online, for reviews, opinions or just pictures taken with it. I found nothing.

I decided I’d document my experience and thoughts on such lenses, later deciding to just do it for all my lenses. Hey, who knows, someone might be in the same boat one day and actually find these reviews useful. I certainly hope so.

Reviews

You won`t find any technical charts or scientific tests in the reviews, there`s a lot of great content out there that already does a great job at that. My goal when shooting a lens has always been to see if I get the photographs I want and the memories and experiences along the way.
